Strong, lightweight and durable, Kent Door Services’ KDS+ range provides an extensive series of general purpose steel doorsets, suitable for a variety of applications. Available with a wide scope of locking options, vision panels, and louvres, each KDS+ door is specifically engineered to suit customer requirements. Marine grade options are also available for coastal environments. For bespoke requirements that fall outside of Kent Door Services standard specification, KDS+ Specialist doors are also available.
Kent Door Services KDS1 range has many of the benefits of our best-selling KDS+ doors, with the added advantage of independent third-party testing. In buildings where security may be an issue, the KDS1 doorsets are certified to resist deliberate attempts at forced entry.
Doorsets are individually made to specification to fit any aperture, and won’t shrink, warp or twist. Durable and designed to cope with high traffic levels for internal and external use, KDS1 is available as an outward opening door with a wide range of certified hardware.
These doors are also available with optional acoustic rating (tested by Lorient to BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010), with RW ratings ranging from 28dB to 40dB depending on specification.
KDS2 doors are suitable for a variety of applications; including perimeter security in medium to high risk environments, energy, water, waste and telecom sectors, retail, distribution, and commercial properties. Doors are available in single, double, and leaf & half configurations, with a large range of hardware and vision panel options.
These doors are also available with optional acoustic rating (tested by Lorient to BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010), with RW ratings ranging from 40dB to 42dB depending on specification
Kent Door Services Ltd unrivalled range of level 3 doors have undergone rigorous testing procedures, which determine their ability to withstand deliberate and pre-meditated forced entry attempts, using bodily force and a number of attack tools.
Our KDS3 range offers an extensive scope of certified steel doors, suitable for all personnel, fire exit, access control and utility applications. Doors are available inward or outward opening single, leaf and a half, and double door sets. Available with a wide range of hardware options and bespoke powder coating finishes (including a highly convincing wood-grain effect), so each door can be tailored to your needs.
The KDS4 range offers a selection of certified single, double, and leaf and half outward opening doorsets, and single inward opening doorsets, suitable for all personnel, fire exit, access control and utility applications.
To achieve certification, the KDS4 doors were subjected to an attack test, simulating experienced attempts of forced entry. Tools used in the level4 testing include a disc grinder, felling axe, hole saw, jigsaw, sledgehammer, and plate shears.
The wide choice of available hardware and options enables KDS4 doors to be tailored to individual customer requirements. These doors are also available with the added benefit of an FD240 fire rating, under the CERTIFIRE scheme.
Offering Kent Door Services highest level of security, the KDS4 door has never been successfully broken into.
To achieve certification, our doors were subjected to a furnace test, withstanding temperatures of up to 1100oC for a period in excess of four hours.
Certain doors are also available with acoustic rating (tested by Lorient to BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010), with an RW rating of 34dB or 35dB, depending on specification.
As well as standard standard fire doors, Kent door services also offers doorsets with both Certifire and LPCB certification. This range includes:

Our KDSFD range of fire doors are available as outward and inward opening, single, leaf and a half, and double doorsets. There is an exceptionally wide range of fire rated door specifications and hardware options available. Additional fire rated options include side and top panels, louvres, and glazing.
For bespoke requirements, Specialist fire doors are available, with customer-supplied hardware. The hardware must be independently fire rated to retain the integrity of the doorset.
Combining flood resistance and security, the range includes KDS2FL, KDS3FL and KDS4FL doorsets. If certification is not required, KDS+FL doors are also available; providing the same flood defence performance, with no security rating.
Available as single or double outward opening doorsets, the KDSFL range comes with a variety of access options, and a selection of louvres and vision panels. The doors are also available with an integral escape hatch, allowing access and egress without compromising flood resilience.
Watertight and designed specifically to meet the needs of the utilities sector, our KDSFL range is ideal for unmanned locations where both security and flood protection measures are required.
Designed to be installed at remote sites where vandalism is expected, KDSsub doorsets are secure and have been engineered to last.
These doors are available with a range of ironmongery options specifically developed to suit substations; including ventilation options, lift-off hinges, earthing points, padlockable shrouds, and hasps and staples.
There is a range of hardware options and design configurations available, which means each door can be tailored to suit specific requirements.
For locations where security is a notable issue, KDSsub doorsets are also available in security levels 1 – 4 .
